2001 Agricultural Society of Kenya– Mombasa ASK Show (29th August – 2nd September)

Solar Day (22nd September)
The aim of this event was to create awareness to the public, the media and decision-makers about the potential use of renewable energy technologies in the country. The public had the chance to view the renewable energy technologies in a fun –fair atmosphere. The theme “Sustainable Energy Technologies”

Held at the Nairobi Arboretum Park organized by Solarnet.

Awards: First prize for the best small trade stand and presentation of our solar products

20th September (Solar day)

The exhibition served as a showcase for programs and technologies promoted by renewable companies, environmental organizations and institutions. The solar day was designed to encourage new public and private initiatives to further expand the use of renewable energy technologies available in the country. Theme “ Renewable Energy Opportunities”
